Circle Voting in Action

The ripple starts when you begin to take actions like these with  like minded people  in your circle of friends, family, at home at work and on the internet:

Talk about voting and how you can help each other Break through the inertia and "privacy" that keeps people with similar values and beliefs from coming together.  In this link, engage others:

  • You may be surprised at how rarely they vote.  (60% aren't expected to vote in November),
  • Just like you don't need to know how computers work to use one effectively,  we can rely on the knowledge and interest of our like-minded friends.
  • They may be a great resource for information for you  in primary and local elections where your vote is even more powerful or they might appreciate your advice, encouragement or help with absentees or registration.
  • Because you share the same values, your voting will be similar enough to provide additional informed votes.
  • So even if you are  a voter, you can vote more strategically with more information and you can more easily vote in primaries and local elections where your vote is even more powerful.

Enjoy talking about a new solution to a very old problem. By talking with like-minded people in your circle about these ideas, you could get them to re-think their attitude toward voting because it addresses many of the reasons usually given for not voting.  See these ideas articulated in this link, responses to the politically turned off:

  • A vote through circle voting is part of a movement for change not a vote for "more of the same."
  • Not voting is the same as voting for the winner
  • You don't have to pay attention to the campaigns, let your circle help you make informed votes
  • Making steady strategic votes can put pressure to change politicians and is much more than "choosing between evils,"

Send this link with a personal note.  Start with a few people and get their reactions, or send it out more widely to the like-minded people in your extended circle.  Include murray@circlevoting.com and ask them to get back to you so we know it is moving.  Or bring up circle voting in groups on www.myspace.com, www.tribe.net, or in Yahoo groups, etc.

Affect the key races this year for control of Congress.  Only 15% of the voters have a chance to affect the key national issue this year and many of them don't realize their power.  You can take the steps above to reach the people  in the key Senate race and the contested House districts.

Contribute your thoughts at the Blog or at www.tribe.net at the CircleVoting.com tribe.

By taking steps like these  in your circle, you will inspire others to do the same.

This could go from circle to circle leading to more regular and strategic voting.

                       See how it could change politics!..................   RIPPLE ))))))) ) ) ) )
